Bala Sathiamurthy is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Atlassian. He oversees Atlassian’s security organization and is responsible for evolving the company’s security strategy to protect customers in an increasingly complex threat landscape. Prior to Atlassian, Bala was the CISO at NerdWallet, a consumer fintech company, where he also served as VP of Engineering leading their Platform, Infrastructure and Data Engineering teams, DevOps and IT teams. Previously, Bala held security leadership roles at Yahoo!, Foursquare, and Jive Software.
