You think being a Web Developer is not enough to win 5,000 bucks? Think again!

This years Codegeist competition features a new category called Best Theme. It’s on the outside what counts for this category. No Java skills required – Confluence can be themed purely with CSS. If you posses the Web Design chops to turn Confluence into a product that would win the Apple design award, you can take home $5,000 and much more.

Getting Started

To get started take a look at our documentation and the “Styling Confluence Tabs” tutorial.

For the impatient, here is how to get your CSS into Confluence:

  1. Log in as the Space Administrator.
  2. Open the Space Admin page.
  3. Click ‘Stylesheet’.
  4. Click ‘Edit’ to change the code in the text field.
  5. Paste your custom CSS into the text field. (Once the text is saved here, you can make adjustments to it inline.)
  6. Click ‘Save’. The new CSS will be visible on all content pages in the space.
If you are no UI wizard, check out our other categories this year. But don’t forget to tell your Web Design friends. I am sure they will invite you for a beer or two if they take home the grand prize.
