I wrote a few weeks ago about the benefits of releasing early for feedback, particularly for Codegeist entries. I just wanted to point out two of the plugin developers who took this advice to heart and have gotten the benefits.
Ross Rowe’s Cobertura Plugin for Bamboo has generated a healthy comment thread. Brock Janiczak and Belinda Ivkovic have already done a point release of their Live Log Viewer for Jira and Confluence, based on feedback they collected from users. Ross has done the same thing with his NAnt Builder for Bamboo.
So, if you’re working on a Codegeist plugin, get it out there soon. You’ve still got a a week and a half to get real feedback and iterate your plugin!
