A mate of ours first brought it to our attention — Jira, our issue tracker, is the new requested “be familiar with” or “have expertise with” program. He forwarded along a job posting seeking candidates with Jira experience. Being intrigued, I Googled the world of job postings myself. Among the required skills set of Java, J2EE, and AJAX, I noticed Jira popping up here and there.
Pretty cool how Jira has made its way onto that list of bulleted must-knows.
