Atlassian SF cleans up Ocean Beach

Atlassian allows its employees to take up to 5 days off per year to work for a favorite charity. Last Friday the 13th, a group of us in San Francisco volunteered for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy by cleaning up trash from Ocean Beach.
Everyone agreed that the time was well spent as we collected about a dozen bags of garbage from the beach in a little less than two hours. What kinds of stuff do you find on a SF national beach? Mostly cans, balloons, styrofoam, plastic, and bottles, but there were a few other odds and ends that had either washed on shore or been left by careless tourists.
We picked up somewhere between 25-50 lbs of garbage in just a couple hours. All-in-all, a good way to spend Foundation time at Atlassian.
