On the Jira blog today we announced Jira 4.4, the latest edition of our bug and issue tracker. Jira 4.4 has many new features, but some notables include:
- Since we acquired the Jira Workflow Designer plugin late last year, our dev team has been hard at work integrating it into Jira. in Jira 4.4, the Visual Workflow Designer has received a makeover and is now built into the new project-centric administration view.
- User time zones was one of the most voted for feature request by our customers. The Jira team has now added the ability for users to set their time zones in their user profiles, and for admins to set a default user time zone.
- A new installer makes upgrades a snap. In the past, upgrading Jira took a bit of time, including a number of manual steps when config files were customised. For Jira 4.4, we’ve designed a new upgrade wizard from the ground up that takes care of it all!
